Band vinyl, CDs and merch

Every band on NTV has a shelf: records first, then shirts, hoodies, prints and the rest. It sits on the band's own page, under its videos — so you can hear the record and then go and buy it.

What is on a band's shelf

Where MusicBrainz knows a pressing's Amazon product id, the sleeve opens that exact record rather than a search. The sleeves themselves come from the Cover Art Archive that MusicBrainz and the record shops run — every one a real pressing of a real record by that band.

How the links work, and who pays

NTV is an Amazon Associate. Press a link, buy something, and Amazon pays NTV a commission — you pay the same price either way, and NTV never sees what you bought. Every link is marked sponsored. The store is amazon.com, so a purchase from outside the United States still works but earns nothing.

NTV shows no Amazon photograph, title or price anywhere. Those may only be shown through Amazon's Product Advertising API, and that key is granted to an Associate after its first qualifying sales — so until then the shelf is record sleeves from the Cover Art Archive and links into Amazon's own shops, which is what the licence allows.

As an Amazon Associate, NTV earns from qualifying purchases. The full disclosure.
